COVID-19 POLICY

If you believe you have symptoms of COVID-19

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

This list does not include all possible symptoms. CDC will continue to update this list as we learn more about COVID-19.

When to seek emergency medical attention

Look for emergency warning signs* for COVID-19. If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion
  • Inability to wake or stay awake
  • Bluish lips or face

*This list is not all possible symptoms. Please call your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.

Call 911 or call ahead to your local emergency facility: Notify the operator that you are seeking care for someone who has or may have COVID-19.

If you are at home, Contact you manager and do not report to work; if you are at work, after contacting your manager and alerting Visiting Nurse Solution, please leave as soon as you can and go home to rest and recuperate.

Screening and determination for

  • Contact: If you have had close contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case within the past 14 days either at work, home or the community.  
  • Symptom assessment: Whether or not an employee has traveled to the above locations or had close contact of a suspected or confirmed case (either from on the job work, in their household or community exposure),
  •  
  • Visiting nurse Solution will follow CDC guidance on assessing symptoms and exposures and referring you for evaluation by your PCP, continual monitoring of symptoms, self-quarantine, testing, mask use, or other courses of action.

Distancing rules

 

Remember, physical distancing is just one part of our system of safety.  There may be times when physical distancing isn’t possible, which is why we have layers of protections.  In particular, please be sure you follow the masking rules in this guide.  All of the following rules assume you are wearing a mask.

  • Stay at least six feet (two meters) from others when possible
  • Avoid crowded places and mass gatherings
  • Utilize Zoom meetings whenever possible
  • Avoid sharing items with other staff, especially objects that come in close contact with the face. 
  • When not possible to maintain physical distancing, it is especially important to ensure that you are wearing your mask correctly (nose and mouth fully covered).

Distancing at workstations 

  • Follow recommended workstation seating patterns that will help encourage social distancing. Work with your manager and colleagues to avoid overlapping occupancy in the same space in the office.
  • Universal Precautions for All Staff at all time.
  • Proper Hand Hygiene according to CDC guideline .
